$2 Billion Economic Impact

Like the first green buds of mesquite trees in the spring, there are signs that Tucson’s economy is rebounding. That includes tourism, which generates an economic impact of more than $2 billion in this region.
For the first time since the economy tanked in 2008, local hotel and convention bookings and rates are trending steadily up, as are other indicators that travelers are on the move again.
